QUICK TIPS TO PREPARE YOUR BUSINESS FOR A STORM

Prepare your business for a storm

1. BACK UP YOUR FILES.
Get a hard drive or quickly access cloud service (Dropbox, icloud, Google Drive, One Drive, etc.) and make a quick back up of important files.  It’s a quick solution that you should be using daily.  But if not, now is a great time to start!

2. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR PASSWORDS.
Whether you prefer to keep that information written down or in online service like Last Pass you should have a copy of every password you use.  This includes email login and passwords as well as your direct webmail link information.  Also, ensure you have access to your website to easily post closing notifications or send employees information.  If you do not have this information from us, please CONTACT US to get your Word Press login and password.

3. TAKE YOUR TECHNOLOGY WITH YOU.
If you can take your computers, we highly recommend it. If not, unplug devices and place them on a high shelf in a closet to help prevent water Damage due to unexpected flooding and overturning furniture.

4. USE SOCIAL MEDIA & APPs.
There is not time like the present to connect with your clients online.  Use social media, like Facebook, Twitter, Google+, & Linkedin or phone apps (What’s App or Group Me) to stay connected during bad weather.  Even utilizing MailChimp to send emails is a great idea and can be used on your social media too. Keeping in contact makes client feel secure that you are available to assist them if needed.

5. STAY SAFE. PLAN TO RETURN TO NORMAL.
Keep your family and employees safe.  Allow them enough time to prepare and ensure that after the storm they are all accounted for and doing well.  Also, have a return to work plan in place and make arrangements for you or your team members that may need to work remotely due to closures.
