During tough economic times most businesses are looking save every penny. However, studies have proven that marketing to clients yields greater results in bad times than in good. With the internet spilling over into every aspect of life, home, work, & mobile communications, the best advertising options may be just a click away! Invest in your website and see positive results…
1. Your Business Could be a Click Away From a New Client.
Gone are the old days of paying a fortune for directory listings in your local phone book. Getting good organic search engine placement is now a must for your business. We don’t recommend pay per click (PPC) for our local clients because it can be expensive. However, we do strive to continually improve search engine optimization (SEO) within our existing websites and any new website we construct. Check your keywords, metatags and the sites of your top ranking competitors to see what changes you can make to improve your rankings. Get some free info here. >
2. Online Sales. Making your products/services easy to purchase online can assist when storefront sales are low. If you aren’t selling online, check out inexpensive ways to sell and market your business to a potentially new group of online users. Some of our favorites are Magento-Go & F-Commerce.
3. Cutting Costs. Having a good website that properly works with your business can help you cut costs. Allowing staff and users to download documents normally mailed cuts postal service and supply costs. Having these items submitted online can also reduce cost and time for employees. Finally, less paperwork in the office decrease mundane tasks allowing you and your staff to focus your energy in other areas and potentially increase sales.
4. Analytics. Your web analytics yeilds you results you can see. With a monthly report, you can more accurately identify your ideal customer and better target those demographics. Analytics are great barometer to gauge how your website is working and where improvements are needed. This information can also help you reallocate marketing dollars to better reach your target market across all mediums. Read more about analytics.>
5. It’s the foundation of your marketing! A website is the foundation of all your marketing efforts. No matter what you have found to be the most productive way to reach clients (print, radio, tv, or web), all mediums point back to your website. If your website doesn’t have a strong call to action and professional appearance you have wasted lots of marketing dollars and lost potential clients.
START TODAY!
There are many more reasons to invest in your website now and PUSH can show you how to do it wisely. Want assistance with your web design strategy or marketing plan? If your business is located in Mandeville, Covington, New Orleans, Metairie or Kenner, PUSH is offering a free consultation through October 21st, 2011 to discuss the latest techniques.
Another Friday is here and our work week may be winding down, but the work isn’t ending. Most employees would be upset or stressed. NOT US! PUSH appreciates that work still coming in as Friday comes to a close. We have the weekend to develop fresh ways to market our clients.
WHAT IS SO GREAT ABOUT WEEKEND WORK? Weekends are a fantastic time to see what other marketing firms are doing (ya’ have to keep up with your competitors) and develop new marketing ideas. Recent reports show that social media posts and email blasts receive more attention when deployed on weekends. We agree completely.
PUSH recently tested this theory and found that our email marketing (eblast), which typically received a 34% open rate, received a 62% open rate when deployed on Sunday. INCREDIBLE! It is has also been found that more attention means you are more likely to be reported as spam or have people unsubscribe. We always insist our clients use a clean email list. No dirty list…no worries. Try it out and send us your experience.
Your weekend assignment…be creative, develop new ideas, and test our weekend work theory!

Everyday we are bombarded with marketing concepts that try to persuade us to make quick decisions. Just start to count how many times per day you hear or see messages like: “Tastes Better”, “Lasts Longer”, Smells Fresher”, “Works Harder”, and my personal favorite “All Natural”. These teasers may prompt you to try or buy the latest product, but ultimately you make the final decision about whether the product or services lives up to your standards. The same goes for finding a great web design or web marketing team. You have to see past the marketing and figure out who is the best choice. We have 5 simple steps that we think will help you make a solid decision.
Review websites of potential web designers in your area. -Pick someone in your local area to design and develop your website. Having a local contact will make your life easier! -If the web designers site is not completed (missing information) – your website won’t be completed either! -If it sounds to good to be true…”websites as low as $250″…it is.
Set up an appointment to meet the team. -If you can’t they can’t meet with you for several weeks, they are way to busy to give your project the attention it deserves. -When you have a web problem or an idea for marketing your business online you need a quick response.
Make sure the team offers all the services you plan to use to develop and promote your new project. -That is a no brainer, if they don’t offer what you need find someone who does.
Request a customized proposal for your project. -Be wary of any salesperson that can immediately give you pricing for your project! A good web design team will review your ideas and develop other ideas for you to consider, this takes time, and therefore affects the pricing of the final project.
-Ask to review a copy of the company’s contract to make sure it meets your standards.
Review proposals, ask for references, and make a final selection. - Once you reviewed several proposals, consider the personality of the teams, check references, and select the best creative team to promote your project.
One final note. The old days of ”if you build a website they will come” are gone. Creatively marketing your site, keeping it updated, and continually getting new users is a must. Make sure your web team offers a marketing plan for after the site is launched!
Well, it finally happened! Facebook and Skype teamed up to develop another new feature that allows easy communication online. Social media is developing so quickly, that I truly believe calling yourself an expert is nearly impossible. Our staff spends at least 3 days per week in online seminars updating their skill set and trying out the latest new software. In the online marketing arena, it is becoming essential to have a team that is dedicated to improving your online presence. PUSH requires that their team stays on top of the latest advancements and imparts that information to their clients. Not every new concept works for every business, but we can help you find out about the latest ideas that will work for you.
It is sad that most people begin to dread the work week first thing Sunday morning. As the warm smell of roasted coffee begins
to brew and the chatter of Sunday Morning News fills the air, the masses secretly begin to dream up excuses for not showing up at work on Monday. Try on these old favorites:
I’m hung over.
My stigmata is acting up today. (Make sure you see the movie to ensure proper likeness.)
Today is irritable bowel day for me.
The female excuse works wonders. (Do not try this if you are a man!)
My poison ivy is oozing pretty bad today.
My 24 hour flu started this morning. (Just in case you run into a coworker on Sunday!)
Call in crying…enough said.
Not I! As I sit at my desk early on this Monday morning, I am thankful that I love my work. Watching the sun rise, I begin to dream up ideas for an upcoming web project or brainstorm tag lines for the latest print concept. Web marketing and web design is a medium that changes constantly. It is truly one of the few industries where you can learn something new every day, attend a seminar in NYC on the latest technology from your desktop, and sip your favorite local New Orleans coffee. (I love my COMMUNITY COFFEE!) Yes, we have those days that make us crazy, but they are few and far between. If you dread heading to work, make a change. PUSHforward & send us your resume!
It was really difficult for us to pick a new web design concept. There are so many exciting layouts, motion graphics, and gadgets we wanted to use. If we weren’t careful it may have looked like a bad sci fi flick. Our final decision was to keep it classically stylish. Kind of like that classic automobile that never goes out of style or the little black dress that goes everywhere! Check it out and give us your feedback! We want to know what you like, what you don’t and how we can improve.
If you haven’t “liked” our new facebook page, you are missing out! We are giving free advice, adding our picks for the latest marketing trends, and posting great articles to help you promote your business daily. Don’t wait..PUSH forward!
